Curley Assembly's Flag Retirement Ceremony has finally been set for the afternoon of Saturday, June 3rd, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in The Grove at Prince George's Council Hall, 9450 Cherry Hill Road, College Park.

The Worthy District Patriotic Education Chairman/Faithful Navigator SK Jimmy Williams invites all Assemblies, especially those nearby, to attend and bring flags to be retired. The District Color Guard/flag team should look at the possibility of being involved in this event. So please check member availability. The District Patriotic Education Chairman also plans to reach out to the Boy Scout Troop at St. Mary's to see if they might be interested in providing some Scouts to help retire the flags.

Also needed is someone who has a decent camera and a tripod to record the ceremony so we can use it as a future teaching/training tool for all Assemblies in the District. The last 2 Patriotic Education Chairmen have been looking to accomplish this development of a training tool for flag retirement. Please come out and participate!
